A WELCOME ADDRESS

There’s too much "talk" of what's wrong and what's right.

For we can ponder these things all day and all night.

But without God, the solution will never be found.

Without him, our foundation can never be sound.

We spend our time worrying about the enemy's goal

But there they are, right today, how many of us saved.

I welcome you this morning as a link in the chain of life.

But only if we pull together can we ever overcome the strife.

For a chain is as strong as its weakest link.

And it breaks with a heavy load.

But a church that's full of the links that pull together

Can level the roughest road.

If you get in touch with master’s will,

With your heart and your labors too.

You will love your church, though it has its faults,

Forr it isn't the church, it's you.

In closing,this morning I welcome you to be

A strong pull together link.

For if you're not, that's one too many

And our boat will surely sink.

I welcome you this morning

Both visitors & members the same

To All get on a united ball team

Or No one will win the game.

Because we are all human

On some issues we won't always agree

But as long as we're working together

Let's resolve them intelligently.

Members, your tithes and your dues

For when you don't — it's not mortal man

But Jesus Christ you refuse
